Hi i recentley just picked up a 87 rx7 turbo with a streetport a full engine management system T 4 turbo setup and wideband kit and bigger injectors an so on. Car idles perfect ,little trouble when first started cold but as it warms up its right on the money never cuts out or anything,Ok heres whats going on when you drive the car without boosting it its fine but anytime you try to get into it at all it spudders and falls flat on its face the car only has 800 miles on the rebuild that was built by Rx7 World the original onwer told me that he had a different turbo setup on it and change to a different one and then never had it tuned and thats what the whole problem is. My Question is does this sound like something that a tuneing what take care of or is it something other.

 

The wideband should tell you everything you need to know. When it starts falling on its face, took a looksy at that meter.

 

+2, But no, changing the turbo will not let you run any boost what-so-ever. what ems are you using? using map sensor or afm?

 

Hi im not to familar with the whole engine managament system at all so some of the stuff im in the dark about but it has the haltech boost sensor tps and all the neccacery componts that it should have.I liked to have somone look at the car who nos this kinda thing and tell me what i need to do to get it running right i live in maryalnd and there arnt to many rotary shops around me so finding someone to tune this thing is a big pain lol.
