Rx7 convertible help

Hey guys, I wanted to know if anybody knew if coupe fenders would fit on a covertible, because at a shop some guy said that the stock fenders would fit all models except fc. I don't know if it's true so im asking if anyone knows that they fit or not. I have a 88 vert. thanks

yes they will. The front bodywork on all 86-88 rx7's is essentially the same other than the slightly different hard rubber aero options that came on the front bumper, and the TII intercooler vent.

You don't have to hope... They'll fit perfectly...

The 89-91 fenders won't fit? I thought the only difference between them was the side mouldings?

They don't match up perfectly with the S4 bumper... It's been debated but I have first hand experience that says the S5 fenders match the S5 bumper perfectly... Not quite so with the S4 bumper...

It's okay if they don't fit with the stock bumper, because im going to get a body kit. Would they still be uneven with an aftermarket bumper? (thinking of getting gp sports)

Well all body kits (aside from old Erebuni and AIT B-Magic) are designed with S5 mouldings integrated, so your best bet is to get S5 fenders with the mouldings already attached, rather than buying S4 fenders (at risk of them not lining up perfectly) and then trying to hunt down mouldings... I mean unless they are at a really good price... Or you could go with the B-Magic kit, which already has S4 mouldings on the bumpers... Contact Robert (fc3s91 on here) for more info on the AIT B-Magic kit...
