Unhappy Rx-7 Turbo Ii Questions

hi guys, look dont get on me asking these questions please. i'm a newbie to rx7, i always wanted one when i was little and now i can finally buy one. Im planning to pick up my rx7 on friday but the guy's rx7 is a new jdm engine rebuild with 52k. chasis with 175k but he has paperwork to prove. i heard rx7 motor always blown quick, can someone tell me why? this is a turbo II by the way.

Second question is,
if i do purchase this rx7, how come alot of people tell me you dont fix up rx7 like hondas and integras, like headers exhaust and crap like that. by the way i am tire of fixing up my prelude type sh, but instead they tell me rx7 focus mostly on fuel injectors and crap like that is that true? and they told me to get some kind of gauge for the rx7 to see if is running rich or poor. can you guys please be specific like what kind of gauges? oil pressure? water? boost? please let me know. thank you

lemme guess...honda owners told you this? I'm pretty sure if you abuse any car you will blow the engine. Just change the fluids regularly and don't overheat it
