Im looking into buying a second generation RX7, but i can really only afford a NA one right now, how hard is it to convert to turbo later, and if its too difficult, what are good NA mods? Any help would be very appreciated.

Good condition NA : $1500-2000. Good condition T2 : 2500-4000.
Converting an NA to T2 : (NA+T2 parts = NAT2) 1500+3000 = 4500. AND you'd have to either go thru the hours (which I would call FUN to me, not labor), or pay someone upwards of 1500 to install it for you. I'm just giving you a rough estimate of what I'M paying to convert my NA (I paid 1850) to a T2. Buying a good condition T2 will prove cheaper, easier, and save you a lot of headaches. I am doing mine for family reasons, I can't sell my NA. If you don't HAVE to buy an NA, and you WANT a T2 power sometime in the future, just wait until one comes you're way.

A LOT of NA's now-a-day's have a T2 hood. If you can get the hood open, just see if the intake is connected to the manifold...from exterior, some say "Turbo II" on the side, like where mine says "GTU"...umm, T2's have different rims, like..I believe it's these rims, just not white (unless it's 10th Anniversery.) Someone correct me if I'm wrong, misinformation is baddddd.

10AE rims have 7 spokes while T2 rims have 10(i think 10). But they look almost identical. Best way to tell, look for a boost gague. Stock one will be in the bottom left of the instrument cluster.
