RX-7 on monster garage

If any of you are familiar with the show Monster Garage, which stars motorcyle customizer Jessie James, you have seen them transform vehicles into other crazy things such as a limo into a fire truck and a mustang into a lawn mower. Well according to their website, on Monday March 24th at 8:00 PM on the Discovery Channel, they are going to be turning a 1990 RX-7 into a sand rail. I just thought it would be interesting to see, and wanted to tell all of you about it. Here is a link to the website: http://dsc.discovery.com/schedule/se...23686&gid=9239

I've been waiting for this episode. I know they're going to hack it like there's no tomorrow.

I've heard rumors it was going to be a 'vert, but I *really* hope its a TII. Not that I want to see another TII get pulled off the street, but more for the bad-*** effect. If they do it with a 'vert it's gonna be slowwww.

It's a '90 'vert. They keep the rotary.

Yo,

I can't wait until Jesse tries his usual tactic of cutting off the exhaust system right near the downpipe...and then starts it.

Heh, he thought his bikes were loud! I can see everyone scrambling away from the RX as the true fury of the rotary is unleashed!! That should be a classic moment.

"Shut it off! Shut it off!"

Heh.

It won't be so slow if they can get the weight waaaaaaaayyy down. Think about it! the T2 might actually be too much power.

What is a sand rail? I tried watching these guys but they remind me of a reality tv show-all arguing and relationships, little car stuff.

Yeah, there was the segment on TechTV as well. If I still have the clip, I will post it. It just sort of randomly showed the car...

So, being that it's a series 5, which electric components do you think won't work when they get it?

You don't want to know what I would do to get onto Monster Garage/Junkyard Wars...

We should get a Rotary team together to go compete on Junkyard Wars, but I think it would be hard to find a running rotary at the junkyard.

I had a Junkyard Wars team together, but for various reasons the effort sort of fell apart.
