Rusty rotors

I was looking at my rotors and they are starting to rust. Should the rotors be shiny, or is it allright that they are going dull after 14 years?

Also, what brake pads you guys recommend?

Thanks

They're usually pretty black and coated with carbon. If they're starting to rust, that's probably not a good sign, as then the seals are more likely to stick, and peices of rust could fall off into the chambers.

Oh, hahaha. In that case, a little rust isn't so bad, usually a good drive will clear them up anyway... I should stop ordering parts for my rebuild, I've got rotors on the brain.
