Rust/Primer info posted in exterior section
Hey guys, for those of you with rust problems who want to do something about it, I posted a writeup in the interior/exterior/audio section:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=268515
Figured that was the best place for it since all gens have this problem. But I did it to my 2nd gen turbovert, so I figured I'd point it out to you all specifically for comments, info, questions, whatnot. Please try to post to THAT thread, to keep all comments in one place, unless you want to flame me for posting this note here in which case you may append that to THIS thread and not the other.
Note: you don't need to have a BIG rust problem to do this : I'd recommend you do it on all accessible rust as soon as convenient (can be done indoors in your garage if you use plastic to mask off the walls/other cars, your car's body paint, etc...). A wheel well can be set up, blasted, and primed in half a day if you work quickly, and less time for additional sections once you are set up. A complete underbody blast, treat, and prime has taken me about two days, but much of that time was repeating areas 'cause I didn't treat it right the first time. I am going to do the engine bay and all four wheel wells this evening if things go smoothly.
