Runs like crap with lights on??
Alright well i just sorta found out that i had a bad ecu i put a NA computer in my 87turbo just to check and ran great. this was last night this morning i had lights on and no problem still ran good. came home read about re sodering the ecu i seen a few places that looked back on the turbo comuter. so re did them took it out still ran like **** like it aways did so pulled over switched back to the NA computer, ran just the same WTF? turned lights off gonig down the road ran like a dream again. wahts gonig on is sitting still reving the motor with teh lights on, it revs kinda slow till 6 grand and sputters wont do anything else on the road it doesent like to rev past 4 and is stugglish with hesitation. with lights off revs to 7 easy and drives great. What in the world happen? im lost in what it could be anyone have a clue?

First off...
You trying to give AARotary a run for his money or what?
It sounds like it's electrical. What's the voltmeter reading through these problems? If the electronic components have bad grounding or are otherwise not getting enough juice it will affect performance (i.e. posts from people solving idle and boost probs caused by low voltage to the fuel pump and my own 3600 stumble was fixed with extra ground wires...)
So maybe something that's elsewhere in the car cooked or slightly damaged a component in the ECU. You throw in the other ECU and all's well until the car cooks the same component on the 2nd board... Just a guess. Did you do the re-soldering yourself? Might be an idea to take them both to an electronics shop for a thorough once-over...
So that's my guess...

My wild guess would be the altenator. (I have nothing to back this up, so take me worth a grain of salt, but my friend and I had something similar happen where when his lights on his car would slowly die. Turned out to be a bad alternator. If it is, find a rebuild shop. Much cheaper to rebuild them than it is to replace them (at least it was for his car)).
