Runs like crap on cold start then runs smooth

Ok, here's my dilemma:

I ran pre-mix a little while ago (3 tanks ago) and the next tank of fuel after the pre-mix, whenever i start the car from cold, it runs shitty as hell, like its running on 1 rotor. then after a few seconds and a little bit of throttle it runs smooth. I have all the normal power and everything. Also, once in a while it doesnt want to start from normal operating temp. Acts like its flooded. I pulled the EGI fuse and cranked it over, re-connected it and it started. It doesnt do the warm start thing all the time. I pulled the spark plugs and cleaned them off, thinking they were fouled from the oil in the pre-mix. I was told by the local rotary shop (mazcare) that i didnt need to do pre-mix with my OMP still on the car. The first time it did the shitty running on cold start i had a good bit of smoke. It smoked alot only once with the rough running start-up. What are a few possible scenarios associated with this? I can clarify if this rant wasnt clear enough, LOL

this is a 88 GXL btw

and i am running NGK 7 and 9's and they are only about 2 months old

Sounds like leaking injectors, also maybe your coolant sensor.. do you get a check engine light?.. but flooding on cold start and hot start issues sounds like leaking injectors to me.. maybe the premix you used clogged it up a bit?

Pull the injectors and get them professonially cleaned.. see if that helps.

im running into a somewhat similar problem, i have an s5 NA , when it starts cold it misses quite alot allmost a steady miss... but not..., then once its warm and idle drops down it runs fine, and then it seems to flood easy when hot, and i ussually hafe to floor it or feather the throttle to get it to start warm.... i havnt done a compression check yet....

Same problem in my first generation - it was the coolant seals.
