I have An 89 GTUs and the damn thing has never run right. Now I am Burning LOTS of gas (8-9 mpg) and if the can is On ( not the Engine Running) i Hear Clicking under the hood ( Driver side under intake manafold???). Like one of the Injectors is operational ALL the time. Where are the Secondary? oh and it idles at 2500 for 3 or 4 min at start up.

Sounds like we have the exact same problem. What the furk is it? At first I thought it was an exhaust leak, then intake leak. I sealed everything up and still has that damn squeak sound. WTF? If you figure it out lemme know

 

Check all of your fuses beside the clutch pedal.
