running rich?

Sup guys,
quick question since im still a newb.

I got an fc n/a and at WOT it's running low 10's AFR Now if i floor it it is like barley making power and just feels so dead. Is that due to it being so rich? Just want to make sure i dont have any other issues.

The car is geting tuned at the end of the month but just want to make sure i have all the bugs out.

Is this with a stock ECU/fuel pump/injectors? Low 10s are super rich, but I'm not sure it's rich enough to cause ignition breakup or dramatic power loss. Maybe someone else can chime in, as the richest I've ever logged is the occasional high 10, but never anything constant.

You can view a log from an S5 NA here: http://www.pocketlogger.com/images/r...o_af_stock.jpg. This engine did dip into the high 10s at high RPM.

car has a walbro 255 from the previous owner. so i beleive thats the culprit, But i plan on keeping it and tuning the car with that

it's going to be tuned with an rtek stage2

Get rid of the walbro. It's not a good idea in an NA, as it flows way more than you'll ever need. If you're using a stock FPR, it will overrun it and jack the pressure up on you.

so i should run a stock fuel pump even when i get it tuned? the previous owner said he did it cuz he wanted to do like a 75 shot.

you think that is the issue i have? thats why it's running crazy rich and not having much power?

Hmm...constant super rich, and nitrous? If it bogs on acceleration then it sounds like your cats may be melted. Lots of extra fuel in the exhaust overworks the cats, as they have to burn it (cats get cherry red on just one cylinder misfiring on a car). Add in consistent nitrous use...Put a stock fuel pump back in and check the cats, I bet they're plugged.

I have no plans on jucing the car the previous owner did have plans but never did. The car has RB presilencer. It does not bog it will pull threw the rpm range just without any real power.

So is this an S5 NA like your profile suggests? You never mentioned anything other than "NA". Check if you still have an air pump & functional 6PI/VDI. If they're not working, you'll have a slow car. Throw in a walbro 255, and you'll have a very slow car.

The FSM will point you in the right direction, and help you get familiar with what's under the hood. The air pump is belt driven, and on the side next to the intake tube.
