Running really Rich

The 1988 Mazda RX-7 (105k)I just bought from guy at work that has not been started in about 1 1/2 years. First thing we did was drain the gas tank and put fresh gas in and new battery. The thing runs now but you can smell the gas fumes and it seams to have no power when driving it. When he put the thing away 1 1/2 years ago it was running rich like that. Could the injectors and or rotor be bad?

after the comp check, you might want to pull & send off your injectors for a good cleaning/ flow test...If they've been sitting around for 1 1/2 years, they're probably gunked up pretty good...Also check the fuel filters (one's in the tank)...
