running lights not working =T

i searched and couldn't find anything, like the title says my running lights aren't working, i mean my headlights, brake lights, turn singals, harzards, reverse lights but not my running lights. Of course it can't be a burnt blub. But when i flip up my headlights and go to the back nothing lights up. what could be the problem? any feedback is appreciated.

Have you checked the 15A ILLUM fuse? Always check the fuse first (before posting). If the fuse is blown the instrument illumination won't work either. If it's not the fuse it's most likely the headlight switch. Pull the instrument surround out to access the headlight switch wiring. With the switch on, you should have 12V at the white/green wire (power from fuse) and 12V at the red/black wire (power to taillight cicuit). If you have power at the white/green wire but not the red/black wire then you need a new or rebuilt headlight switch.

With a multimeter or test light.

Its more likely a burnt up headlight switch, and not a fuse.

If it was the fuse, the dash lights would not work on the guages either
