Running issues with a S5 TII

OK here is goes.

I have a 90' GXL with a 90 TII engine in it.

I finally got it running to some extent but by no means good. Heres what happens:

When its cold it usually starts pretty easy with minimal cranking but when warm it runs a bit rough. Rough=vibrations and the engine 'hunts' (revs up and down. Also, sometimes on excelleration it backfires.

When the engine is warm and I try and restart it it take a bit of cranking to get it to start, if it does.

It seems to be running very rich and also seems to be fouling the rear plugs frequently.

Heres what I've checked and concluded:
Fuel pressure is in spec.
Fuel hold pressure (in both the pump and on the rail) is in spec.
Timing is set
TPS is in spec.
AFM is working (swapped with another S5)
Only error codes given are from emissions which has been removed (except BAC and AWS)
Ignitors working
No vacuum leaks
Boost sensor working

A few more notes:
I did preform the TB mod and removed the secondaries but not the thermo wax pellet.
I do not know the previous status of the engine (i.e. I do not know if it even ran or not in the donor car.)
I have tried to adjust the two screws on the TB near the firewall and may have adjusted them out of spec. I read the FSM and still dont understand exactly how to adjust them properly.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I have spent nearly 4 entire weekends trying and trying to get it to run properly (I think I'm going to wear out the starter soon)

Thanks in advance,
Paul

If I read correctly, BAC is still on vehicle. If so, and still operational, it could be bad in that it could allow a very lean condition which in turn will cause backfires and hunting idle.

Anyone?

Grrrrrrrrr......

I'm about ready to retire my interest of 7's all together!

J/K... While that would reduce a lot of frustration in my life but doesn't it make it all the more rewarding when I do get it running???
