Running issues 1988 T2

I have an 88 T2 that starts fine, but dies after 20 seconds or so. When it starts to die the shift up light comes on and flickers.

I created a error code checker with 2 LEDs as described on FC3Spros website. When the ignition is switched to "ON" the 2 LEDs illuminate as they should but do not switch off after 3 seconds. At the same time it sounds like my injectors are clicking sporadically.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what my issue might be?

YouTube video below showing the error code checker and the clicking injectors.

You'll find four Light Green wires grouped together at the ECU. These are the trigger wires to the injectors. Take the LED lights you have and place one wire into the back of the Light Green wires w/the ECU plugged into the ECU and the other wire to pin 3I (B/W wire) and w/key to on check to see if the light flickers or not. If it flickers then the ECU is trying to fire the injector when it should not. The LED light should not turn on when doing this test. Do the test on all wires but focus on the primary injector wires colored Light Green and Light/Green/Black. If the light does not flicker then something else is causing the sound.

And besides the B/W wire at the Green check connector used for the code tester what other wires were you using to conduct the test? The other two should have been Y/B and Y/R. And are the bulbs truly LED lights or not for if not then they should not be used! (ECU damage could occur)

That is what the package said from RadioShack. I'll double check tonight when I'm home.
