running hot need help.

ok here's everything i've done. it seems to run fine at low rpms. but whenever i race that sweet *** needle starts climbing. i have a new fan clutch and a 16" electrical fan. i have gutted the cats. and i feel some heat from them coming from the exhaust right on top of the shifter. i have no air pump, new water pump, flushed radiator. but whenever i try and go on the highway freakin needle just climbs all the way to the top. i have the double sleeve pulley on the alternator. and same **** still overheats. i heard that if u have bad carbon build up inside that it would heat up and make ur car overheat. so should i do the atf thing to burn the carbon. and if so how the heck do u do it.

I am having overheating problems too. Thing I am on now is that the water pump housing is eroded maybe. Going to see if thats it, I just changed the water pump. To find out about the ATF trick, do a search.
