Yo,

Here are some more pics, these of Carl Byck in his crazy T04 S4 TII puttin' the hurt on some big dog cars:

How many RX-7's can you spot?

(I think that's me in the background.)

The Porsche was a new turbo model, 5500 miles on the clock and he started dropping oil majorly. Ruh oh! The rear end got out on my car at 90+ coming out of Turn 8. Sphincter level was around 11. *snicker*

I had MtnRacer (Steve) in the car at the time. He had a S5 TII and I gave him a couple of hot laps. Steve was impressed! *grin*

Oh, the **** is a OMP Sirio. Combination leather/suede. Damn, it's on sale!!

http://www.ompusa.com/shiftknobs.htm

Bastards!! I should order another one when this one wears out. *grin*

SHEDDENSETH! I DEMAND ANSWERS

And real Porsches don't need that "coolant" crap. Maybe this one was modified for espionage? Get away coolant slick.

dude i know what you mean

I had my first event on Sat at Sears Point and my car really surprised me.
The cars that blew by me the fastest were Spec Miatas. There was a whole slew of them from PR Motorsports. The owner of PR Rick Weldon let me ride for a couple laps and we went right by a GT3 and a Saleen Mustang that had been trailered in. Those Miatas are the way to go for cheap fun.
Let me list the cars (and their drivers) that I was faster than. Some guy in a civic, rsx typeS, boxter, 75 911, there were others. I was even gaining hard on a Mustand Cobra (320hp) before I spun out and got balck flagged.

Are those Ronal r9's? I got those but they are black. here is a pic of me at the track yesterday.

Dude, we totally should go to an event together and duke it out. HA HA=)

Hey guys I would like to start autoxing soon but I have just three questions that I need answered.

1) Is there a decible limit to your exhaust? Do you have to have emissions?

2) I have heard of autox guys remounting their battery in the back of their vehicle in a new box.....is this a requirement for an open event where I just go to have fun?

3) I have a helmet but it has a scrape on the top of it.....I can jarely catch my finger nail on it. Is this safe to wear still? I have heard that once it has been hit that you wouldn't be allowed to use a helmet in a competition atmosphere no matter what the sport. (I can't imagine that something so incredibly small of a scrape would make it unsafe but I don't want to run in to surprises.)

no limit on the exhaust noise, but if you're going to run in the stock class, you must have a stock exhaust. relocation of the battery isn't required but it helps. you will need to get a box that is sealed at the bottom and vented at the top with holes on the sides for wires only. it must be bolted to the chassis somewhere outside of the passenger compartment (the rear storage bins are legal). your helmet may not be legal, but you would need to ask an official to be sure. a minor scratch shouldn't disqualify it, and if they don't allow it, someone will probably have a loaner around. start off in the novice class and don't really worry about winning anything in the start, just controlling your car and being smooth. focus on your driving rather than your car, but if you have mods already on the car you need to check with whichever organization is running the autox to see what class you're in. if you run novice, they won't care too much about mods.

You are one lucky man. I've tried to locate a GTUs for the longest time, but there just arent that many out there. There just arent that many clean FCs out there for that matter. Anyway, glad to see you take yours to the track. I plan on doing a NA FC buildup within the next few months. Dont let anybody tell you NAs are slow, because they arent. They are quick enough to top 130 mph, and more than hold up their own in the twisties. Just throw in a street port, and exhaust. I like the power of turbos, but I prefer NA motors due to their lack of complexity, and more linear power band.

Yo,

Hammer, don't hurt 'em! *grin* Good luck on your hunt, it took me about 3 months to find my car...and I had to drive down to Southern California to get it.

Keep checking Auto Trader...they seem to pop up occasionally.

I don't really see myself ever owning a Turbo rotary...I just found out that someone I knew just blew their motor...even with a Haltech!

To top it off, after the track event I was getting gas and saw this red R1 or R2 FD that had been performing some nice drifts. I told him so and he said that he thought he had blown his motor, or spun a bearing, or something. I told him hopefully:

"Nah, you probably just lost one of your vacuum lines!"

He smiled and nodded. He started up the car...and I shuddered. His FD sounded exactly like Jef Card's TII when he lost his rear rotor. Hardly idling, no power...I'm pretty sure the poor guy's motor is toast.

I'm just not down with that. I'll take my 140 horsies to the rear wheels all day if I never have to hear that sound...

Rarest, I don't think that is jeremys car in his avatar. I think it belongs to Quik10AE (or his name is something like that)
