running bad need advice and help
first off i am not sure what has exactly gon wrong......when i drive sow and normal my 88 SE seems to run fine, but when i hammer on it, it seems to bog out on me and run really shitty, also it will not hold its own idle, it ran perfectly and idled fine up until now, but something is wrong. i have had her up to aroun d 80 since the problem started and she rode good there, but when i put it in 3rd at around 70 mph like on a downshift my rpms climb slighlty then drop and bounce and my speed climbs very slowly at best. my stock tach reads normal...it is my aftermarket tach on the front pair of iginitors that bounces when i downshift and pun ch it, it seems to holdf oil fine with no leaks, and the coolant has not leaked any at all not one drop, what could my problem be?? if it was a bad motor wouldnt it run REALLY bad and not move at all??? and wouldnt i be loosing oil and coolant or atleast one of them??
pleease write back soon, if this cant be easily fixed i may resort to redoing the whole thing but i dont wanna lose my baby for the summer

When you say when you downshift at 70, and your rpms bounce down and back up.. I had a similar problem.. the culprit was my primary fuel injector plug was loose.. had the wire routed wrong and it was not securely fastened... DOH
have you had those unpluged recently ?
you have 1 tach on the trailing and 1 tach on the leading? is that right? if one tach looks fine the whole time but the other is bouncing.. check out the coils
IF you blew an apex seal, you wouldn't be using anymore oil than normal, but you would have A: rougher idle. B: loss in power all over... C: Lower compression on one rotor.. COMPRESSION check...
OH and look for electrical shorts.. I also had an incident where my MAF was rubbin against a wire and shorting my system.. whenever I hit a bump the RPMS would drop from 3k to 500 rpm then instantly back to 3k... another idea....
