Runnin on 1 rotor?
My engine is only running on 1 rotor, the front rotor. Does anyone know why this would be happening? I've replaced all new spark plugs, coils are good, plug wires are good, and fuel injecters are good. Any suggestions as to what it may be? Otherwise she's heading to the dealership.
Is your car an s4 or s5?First check the compression of the engine then go from there. Also check the thermo plug in back of the water housing. When it gets dirty, loose or the sensor goes bad it will make the car run on one rotor(s4).Hope this helps any.

Go to www.Iluvemyrx7.com to download the fsm(factory service manual). It will help you out trouble shooting the 7.
First, do a compression check. Go to http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ , then the Tech section, then Compression Test. That'll give you all the info you need to do one.
Also, just because your primary injectors are getting good voltage (I'm assuming that's good), it doesn't mean they're working properly. If it's an '86, that means your car is 18 years old. Injectors get clogged up and such after that long. I would suggest (if your compression is good) sending your injectors to http://www.cruzinperformance.com/fuelinj.html for a good cleaning.

Dead engine... I haven't dranken any hateraid tonight, but that would be my guess. Rear rotor not firing... TKO
Pull a spark plug on each rotor and have someone turn it over for you. You should get even pulses out of each face on each rotor. If the rear one is just kinda woofing by, dead. Save youself the $ of going to the Mazda dealership, they are just out to bend out over. Mazda does not tough my car, ever! Mazda dealerships don't even know what diffusers are for..
On a side note, Injectors never truely completly fail. Even if they are clogged ,there is still some gas that will get by.
