rubber hose in door?

on my s5 gxl i have some sort of rubber hose that seems to connect to the power window motor and then the other side just sits there what is it?

Hi Folks.

Inside of the rubber hose there is a thread which moves the window. Grab the hose and move the window - you will feel the thread turning... At first I thought it was some kind of water drain.
