RTV vs Gaskets....

Hrmm I just got done watching the Atkins rotary rebuild video and the guy didn't use a front cover gasket or oil pan gasket, can I do this too.....I assume it would be better but not sure about the front cover omp oil o-ring

For Zenki cars, DON'T use a gasket.
Kouki cars require the gasket.

make sure get the good rtv silicon, one that is more fuel resistant.

Specific sealants (ie high temp etc) are equivalent to gaskets, atleast In my experience. The only time I wouldn't use a sealant alone Is on the LIM.
