mann i had rtv put on my car thursday and picked it up she ran alright not that great cus the rtv wasn't the best on her but then i was goin liek 90 and it stopped holding i think it couldn't withstand the turbo boost. cus im probably creeping ive got the racing beat turboback, FCD, walbro pump, and hks intake, i need to put my 680cc injectors in though. im getting hesistation at liek 4k from the turbo by the way i have a 87 T2, but i already ordered my new intake gasket last week it should be here tuesday and im just wondering if any member can help me from the bottom of their hearts write a detailed write up of how to get to the intake gasket in the LIM, my mind is boggled on it many memebers have tried to help but they have been a little too vague and im jsut hoping the right person will come along to help

Huh?? What?? Hang on a sec, Let me get my Enigma box out so i can decode this message...... Ok From what I can tell You spread RTV sealant over a leak on your intake manifold. Thats not going to work, doesn't matter how nice the RTV sealant is. You cant just spread the stuff over a leak you have to put it between the two mating surfaces not IE take the peices apart clean the mating surfaces apply the RTV let skin(harden a little) then reassymble the parts... Thats how it's done in the ghetto. The right way to fix the problem is to buy a new gasket.
you could probably get away with just removing the 7 bolts/nuts that hold it to the motor..You may have to seperate the upper manifold from the lower manifold to get enough room to work. If it's a turbo you may have to remove the turbo as well
then you have to clean the sufaces real good...make sure you dont let any of the crap fall into the motor (the intake runners)
once it is cleaned and free of old gasket, RTV, oil and grease you can put it back together.
Best thing to do is buy a factory workshop manual before doing any work to your car. You can also search
