rtek7 Chip upgrade : Anyone use?

Im considering purchasing this upgrade for my Rx7. Seems like the best of both worlds. Removes fuel cut, etc .. But I dont see anyone mentioning it anyone using it?

More info about it here (im looking at the 1.5v one..) Price is right and I have a spare ECU

Ive used them before to prevent flooding on rebuilds, they work well.

yes it removes fuel cut. it has nothing to do with boost, you need a boost controller to up your boost. The chip was designed by forum member henrik.

THe chip removes the fuel cut code from the ecu, meaning you don't need an external FCD to boost over stock levels. THe chip also adds anti-flood feature to help with startup. Those are the only real features of the first version..supposedly the new ones will add fuel and better control timing at higher boost, and later editions may be able to control larger injectors.

sweet they are were discussing it @ nopistions.com. Supposedly version 1.5 lowers the transition rpm from the primary to the secondary injectors. version 2.0 supposedly will allow larger 720 injectors as secondary's and datalogging. I like the chip idea over the fuel cut def. because I read that with the chip your stock boost gauge remains accurate. Thanks for all the help I think I will go with the 1.5 version for now

heh, I think saying the stock boost gauge "remains accurate" is being pretty generous for what it does.
