Rtek7™ ECU Upgrade

Hey has anyone bought a Rtek7 ECU? Just curious as to how they perform and such, especially for the price ($75-$95).

It works as advertised. I have been recommending them to customers getting rebuilds on turbo engines, who need both an FCD and a fuelcut feature.

I'm new to RX's, what exactly do they do? How are they better than stock? Can you use them on NA's?

I think its without a doubt the most cost effective mod I have ever bought! I love it, and it does exactly what they say it will. You don't even need to send in your ECU, the directions that come with it are very user friendly! Its a must have for any TII!

I've been kinda watching the site, but I haven't seen any progress listed for the NA ecu's. Does anyone know when they will actually have one? If they pricew is similar to the S4 t2's I'm sure alot of NA guys would be extremely interested.

btw I'm 99% sure it does NOT remove fuel cut, it just acts as a fuel cut defender direclty on the ECU. It's got some good features, but it doesn't remove the fuel cut from the ECU.

From the rtek site itself:

"Up until now, a Fuel Cut Defensers (FCDs) have been external devices wired into the engine harness that interrupt the signal from the boost sensor to the ECU. The Rtek7 goes goes right to the source by removing the code responsible for Fuel Cut from the ECU altogether. This has the additional benefits in that it doesn't alter the boost signal to the in-dash gauge, there are no wires to splice, and no additional box to clutter the engine bay."
