Rtek + Mech. MOP in s5?

Do you guys think this is a good way to go? Pineapple racing is selling the mechanical metering oil pump and a dvd for installation for $25, and I heard that it is a little more reliable than the electrical pump and important to keep functional. The car (my NA s5) will not function correctly without the electrical pump connected, so I must buy the Rtek 1.0 chip for it to function correctly or is there another route? Just seeing everyones' thoughts.

Don't you also need the throttle body from an S4? or atleast some linkage off of it to tie to the OMP's flow-control lever? Or do you just tie it open a certain amount? Might be a good route to go on my new motor.... for some reason, I never investigated it.

To use the s4 OMP you need the s4 front cover. You need the s4 throttle linkage for it to operate properly. The only way to get the throttle linkage is to use the s4 TB. This means you also have the s4 TPS which is incompatible with the s5 ECU. So you are basically SOL.
As for removing the s5 OMP, thats easy. Just take it off and install a block-off plate but leave it connected so the ECU thinks its still there. But now you have to premix.

I'm sure you could find a way to fit the S4 linkage onto the S5 throttle body... push come to shove, you could fab something up yourself...

Well, I'm sure you could pull apart the linkage and swap some stuff over, but it would be a major PITA.
