Rtek, Fcd, Hks Safr fuel questions, Street ported motor

Hey guys,
I'm just about to finish my build and I came up with a few loose ends. I need a few opinions. I was looking at options for an FCD. I was considering a DIY FCD but then I read about the Rtek 1.7. I currently own a HKS Safr. Would I still need the Safr if I got the Rtek? I know the site says you can use your afc/safr to fine tune but does anyone do this? In addition, If I'm going to buy the Rtek, is there something better? This motor will be an SP with a full exhaust and upgraded 720's. I have already ported the wastegate and plan on doing the TID mod as well. Ive got a budget of 100 to 500 and maybe 750 or so if I could sell the Safr.
Any opinion would be appreciated

Think of the Rtek as what the stock computer would have been if it were way more friendly for upgrades. It doesn't allow you to tune, but it does do things like prevent fuel cut without causing your stock boost gauge to lie, pull timing when boost rises above 9, and defeat AWS (why your engine revs up when started cold). I'd imagine ditching the AWS on a new rebuild would be a particularly good policy for proper break-in.

Keep your SAFR. Maybe sell it when the Rtek 2.0 is released. =)
