Rtek 1.5

I have a 10th AE and was wondering if I could use this chip instead of a SAFC. I was told that for moderate increases in stock boost (increasing it from 8.6 to about 10-12), this chip would increase the amount of fuel going into the engine. Is this true? Yes, I have looked at the website, but just want to confirm it.

Henrik has done a lot of research and has a great product for sale. It does one better than the SAFC in that it also messes with the timing and you do not need an FCD. Many people have been inquiring about it but I am not sure who is actually running it.

Me too, still trying to decide if I should wait for it, or just trash the stock ECU and get a microtech.

I thought a microtech would be best for awhile, but I don't know anyone that can tune it

an SAFC and Rtek are 2 completely different products!\

The Rtek removed FCD and AWS. Increases injectors duty cap and lowers the secondary injector kick on.
Also retards under boost.

The SAFC is a Piggy back fuel controller. It will only modify the stock signal to the ijectors making them inject more or less fuel.

SO.
I would get the Rtek first. If you mod the engine enough that your going over 10psi then you may want to think of upgrading fuel pump and injectors and using an SAFC to manage the added fuel.

I just got a TII ECU and may do this later on. No FCD and lower ijector times with added boost retard sounds nice.

Depending if your mods are mild, you could go with just the Rtek7 or if you're heavily modded, Both the Rtek and the SAFC would be a good combo.

The Rtek is not an SAFC replacement...at least not version 1.5. It does however make the job of the SAFC easier (already adding fuel so the AFC doesn't have to trick the ECU as much) and safer (pulls timing for higher boost)

I initialy had the V1.0 when it was first released, I have just replaced it with the V1.5 as of this morning! All I can say is WOW! Again those people over at digital tuning never cease to amaze me! This is one of those mods I would definently go as far as saying needs to be your absolute first mod to your TII! I only wish it still retained the unflood feature! All in all its money well spent and the bang for the buck is unparalleled!

I heard he couldn't fit the coding for the unflood feature into the v1.5 - it just shows how outdated these ECUs are. That being said, this stuff is amazing. I'm going to go with the Rtek/SAFC combo...v2 will be able to handle 720cc injectors as if they were stock. Neat stuff!

And I think he's working on a datalogging ability...

What I think is cool is the fact that he is giving us who supported him in the beginning a break price wise because were able to return the V1.0 and pick up the new V1.5 for only $35. Or maybe he didn't intend to do it that way but I know if I had to shell out another $75 just for the updated chip I wouldn't have been able to purchase it! And I can definintly say that since their products in the past have been so effective that I will be all over V2.0 If it happens!

Wow this was long over due, it's been a while since i've used the stock computer, but when i did and had a G-force chip, man it was nice. steadier idle, better gas mileage, and more pull under vacuum.

2.0 is due sometime around June i think according to Henrik. 2.0 adds direct control for 550/720cc injectors combos with NO SAFC needed.
