RPMS acting up?
Hey I just recently got my 88 SE and its done really well. but Ive noticed lately when in 5th gear I can push the gas and the RPMS will shoot up real quick then come back down before really good accerleration will take place. This may be a normal thing though Im not sure,
but Im aware of the CPU soldering probs. could this be a bad solder somewhere? Thanks-
(caught the rotary bug, friend got one and now I got one, there contagious!)

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
sounds like a bad clutch

and you said:
The CPU has nothing to do with the engine, the CPU is the body computer. The ECU (which seldom has bad solder joints) controls the engine.

I hate whoever started the RPMs craze! RPM is plural. It's "Rotations Per Minute" not "Rotations Pre Minutes" Some say the "R" stands for "Revolutions" either way, Revolutions Per Minutes sounds stupid!. Sorry about the rant but it's a HUGE pet peev of mine.
EDIT: I'm not bashing on you in particular because it's so commonly missused and it's an easy mistake to overlook.
