Rough acceleration untill 3500rpm??

I drove my '91 TII 190 miles today for the break in of the new engine and noticed something odd. The break in says not to take it above 4000 rpm for the first 500 miles.

So I was varying engine speed between 1800 rpm and 4000 rpm for 190 miles. The acceleration from 1800 rpm to 3500 is a little rough. The Haltuner is varing between lean and middle of the meter rapidly. I guess the ecu is finding the best mixture. Then at 3500 rpm the acceleration is smooth until 4000 rpm when i have to stop. The haltuner at 3500 rpm shows the air fuel read out in middle of the gauge and it stays there. Is this when the secondary injectors come on line?

What could be causing my rough acceleration up to 3500 rpm. The injectors are used but were cleaned by RC enginering.

Thanks

James

once you break in the motor you will no longer have this problem, just keep that ****** above 3500 and hold on.

Now that is FUNNY!!! I like the hold on part man...I hope I can. I can't wait to floor that thing when it hits 1000 miles.

Would like to get the problem ironed out.
