Rotory Performance FMIC Install

OK, right now im working on getting the FMIC installed in my FC. I know alot of people have done this and i know there are a few things you have to do to clear enough space to run the piping. Where im at now is installing a greddy compression tube (in picture one) to the throttle body.

This last one is what the engine bay looks like now. Hood removed, upper intake plennum lifted out of the way for now.

Anyone with any info on this please PM me. Im hoping to get this project done by the end of the weekend.

Odd. I have a Greddy from Rotary Performance on a series four and it does not come anywhere close to those solenoids. Odd. I did rearrange the location of the purge valve though.

Didn't you get the instructions with the kit???? I did. I don't know Jap, but there were graphics with it.

I also did not have to do a thing with the windshield washer bottle fill neck. Others seem to have problems in that area. Why? Got me.

I did make a compromise and remove the bracketry for the stock intercooler hold down.

And the tube called 1-5 in the kit was modified. I had to cut approx one inch off the end of it that connects to the inlet duct on the throttle body. That was because the brake tubing was in the way a bit. I just took a look and maybe I didn't have to do that or maybe just cut a half inch of the 1-5 duct.

As you can see from the dwgs attached, there is no need to remove the solenoids.

If you have a need to rid yourself of something, get rid of the pwr steering. THAT is a total waste of space.

Not true...
3 out of the 5 are emissions.
The other two aren't.
Orange is for FPR.
Green is for twin scroll.

The only part im installing at this point in time is the greddy compression tube. I didn't know "rotory performance" was the name of an after maket company.... should have looked into that one though. the purge valve was in the way and thats been relocated. I got the rest of the rats nest out today and am working on the fuel line relocation and fabricating my block off plates.

I know ill have a few more questions and posts to toss up here soon. If anyone has an actuall picture of the greddy comp. pipe installed and how they ran there Intercooler piping that would be a huge help. Im going to be runing and bending all my piping. just trying to see what others have gone with.

RotaryPerformance is a joint in the Dallas/Garland area of Tx. They sell Greddy intercooler kits. Somehow I assumed you were installing a Greddy intercooler that came from Rotary Performance.

It was hard to comprehend that your only installing a Greddy throttle body inlet duct by itself, so I assumed you bought the whole ball of wax and were installing the complete kit. It's still hard to comprehend just installing a throttle body elbow by itself. My problem....not yours.

Anyway, Green is for the Twin Scroll Solenoid, Grey is for the switching solenoid, Blue for the Relief solenoid, Yellow for the Pressure regulator solenoid, and the Green one that's off by itself near the filler neck is the EGR solnoid

Switching and Relief are ACV, * control solenoids*.

FSM is on the web for a free download. Download the FUEL section by itself to figure out the solenoids.

Why is this even a thread? Bolt the GReddy adaptor to the TB and drop the UIM/TB in place. There's your answer. Less than five minutes work. Seems so obvious...
