rotor housing pitting

rotor housing pitting
After cleaning up my rotor housings, Ive noticed that there's some pitting where the water seal mates up to it (biggest one is about 3-5 mm long and at most 0.5 mm deep). Would I need to jb weld these pits or should the rtv take care of them?
