rotor housing damage?
ok just tore down a 87 TII motor. one of the rotor housings has a line across it, parallel to the apex seal, at the bottom of the housing. it feels to be a couple thousandths deep. it is not a sharp score, but a somewhat rounded indentatation. is this housing usable? if not, anybody got one they wanna sell me?

Sounds like normal chrome flaking from the apex corner piece. This usually extends from about 2" below the L plughole over to the exhaust port, and is about 1-2mm wide and about .5mm deep. This is normal for a 100k + mile motor. The housing is useable, and will make a good running engine, however compression will not be "like new", but rather around 100-115 depending on how worn it actually is.

no this is perpendicular to that. it runs across the housing from front to back...approximately at the bottom of the housing but a litle bit towards the plug side if i remember correctly.
