rotor damage with pics
ok im always interested in looking at pics of peoples destroyed rotors so here is one from an engine i just tore down anyways when i took it apart 2 apex seals were split in the center and the third was gone i assume that is what caused the holes in the other 2 along with the scoring of the rotor and housing anyways enjoy

well you tear down and rebuild engines alot more then me, i bet youve had some of those HOW THE F*** DID THAT HAPPEN moments
i bought the engine from a junkyard because i wanted all the long block parts intake manifolds and such and it was cheaper to buy the whole thing than to buy each part invidually i knew the motor was blown and i new the damage before i tore it down by looking in the exhaust ports so it wasnt a shock to me

it took me about 2 months of reading before i went ahead and decide to dive into an engine (actually 2) im in no rush to make massive amounts of horse power i just want to tweak with things for awhile na and have fun

That's pretty normal damage from a blown apex motor. Sometimes you see worse, sometimes lighter damage, either way the result is the same, no or almost no compression on the affected rotor.
www.rotaryresurrection.com ---> tech ---> internal engine damage
And yes, on rare occasion, the chunks of seal that get thrown out of the one rotor when it blows, can randomly bounce off the exhaust manifold and get thrown back into the opposing chamber in a brilliant stroke of bad luck, doing damage there where damage would not otherwise have occured. I have taken engines apart that had all of the apex seals intact on a rotor, yet the rotor face and housing surface showed evidence of pieces of seal flying around. Obviously the seal couldnt have come from that rotor, so this is the only explanation.

Dude, take a chill pill. I was asking a serious question. If I came across a little strong for your fragile intellect, FO. Unbelievable how so many individuals mistake humility and lack of knowledge for arrogance. I'm a rotary retard just searching for knowledge and information, which I obviously won't find with you!
