I'd never, ever recommend that someone **** away money on one of the China turbos, but I do have to say this...

I have helped build several cars with China turbos. The turbo choice was not mine. And I did nothing but **** and moan the entire time about how the turbo was a POS. Yet, out of the 3 cars, at least two of them are still on the road, with the same turbo, about 30K later and making about 375HP. For what it's worth....

2 out of 3 odds isn't good enough for me. I don't know.

Might as well get something that you KNOW should stand up to abuse and keep its value if for nothing else being rebuilt later.

looks like a cut and paste of what the chinese turbos claim and cost. so if it looks like and quacks like a duck, well you know the rest..

i bet that it blows up at 18psi which is half of what they claim it can push.. 35psi? lol, right.. i guess it doesn't produce any boost below 5psi also, since it only has a range of 5-35psi...
yep 100% chinnese

I should have specified that car #3 was just never finished and has not seen the road.

Again, I'd never recommend someone go this route...But if they did, because maybe they are just building a car on the cheap and just want something to bomb around in and not care about long term reliability or resale, I don't think I'd blame them.

only experience i have with them is from a DSM friend who was running a 20G turbo. the turbos only lasted about 5k miles and a few months before the thrust bearings disintergrated.

i believe he went through 2 turbos before he melted the head gasket, then a shop who was replacing it bent the valves by not tightening the timing belt properly. he dumped the car after that.

Cheap turbos i dont care for personally. I know of MORE than a DOZEN cars with them and have been running them for years and swear by them. mostly all 4g powered. I know of 3 that are making over 500hp and have been for 2 years. ALL these turbos are one brand though Master Power. I also know of 3 percision turbos that blew up this past summer and werent even a year old. Hell one was blown the first pull on the dyno
