25 posts and no one from Rotary Works has jumped in and defended themselves.

Tried calling RW. Once they found out who I was, they put me on hold, for 20 mins and then the line, "mysteriously" hung up. Anyone know if they're registered with the BBB?

Welcome to the bollocksed world of RW crustomer service!
No worries, about that pulley bit - if they sent the wrong one (and this only will work, one direction), just hone it out by 2mm, keeping err to the side of snug.
At some point, during my 'Project 60 cal.' build, I'd ordered an OEM alt pulley and had to do the same thing.
Like mentioned, all these posts, between just my two threads, and NO response from those ****-knockers.
*shakes head*

your email made me genuinely laugh for the first time today =]
on the other hand, sorry these guys suck so hard.
nobody is around that part of CA that might be able to help put the heat on them? (not that it really matters, or would yield anything but grief..) did you report them to the BBB?

you have to pay to be apart of the BBB system.
you basically pay a fee to be apart of their grading scale, some jokers registered HAMAS (terrorist group) and paid the fee and HAMAS had an A+ business rating.
Wolfgang Puck told them to **** off because he wasn't going to pay so his restaurant got a C rating, I'm pretty sure he's world famous chef and BB is some useless American program.

Yeah. I'm really amazed that NO ONE has responded to anything, at ALL - not here, via emai, or anything - not even giving me a call, back.
I have 2 threads, here (see signature), but haven't ventured over to NoPistons to share the wealth, as of yet
JORX7: Back up,, at post # 27, I showed what happened when I tried calling them back.
++1 !
LOL. We should make it an event!
(BTW: CapN, Who did that 'Sholls' rebuild, for you? I've got a pair of adidas I'd send to a shop for THAT rebuild!

Same deal
My gilmer drive pulleys has been a nightmare first the drilling then after 6 months of driving the alt pulley came off due to the spacer they gave me wearing out I won't buy anything from them ever again...

I "lost" my emissions....
I had some trouble with the gilmer kit they sell as well. I actually got it from atkins, who no longer offer their products for what its worth.
The alternator pully fit fine, and so did the crank pully more or less. but the water pump pully needed to be drilled out to fit over the shaft and the waterpump boss needed to be pulled out 1/8" so it wouldnt rub. I tried 3 different new pumps to make sure and it rubbed all three.
Because of this, the alternator pully needed to be spaced out more, and luckily i had a mitsubishi bushing that fit the bill. To space out the crank I just used one of the spacers in the factory pully set.
Im pretty sure that kit is made for a 12a or gslse. I ended up contacting Rotary Works and I get the impression its just a couple guys that buy the parts and sell them to us. Im quite certain they dont manufacture them because their knowledge about the items seemed quite limited. They also wouldnt let me exchange my waterpump pully for another one to try to avoid the spacing issue, or swap my 15mm alternator pully for the 17mm one I ordered. Maybe that was a good thing because Ive heard the belt doesnt fit with an fd alternator anyway. quite a pain in the *** if Im honest.
That said, once the kit was on the car it seems pretty good. Ive seen no abnormal wear on the kit or the belt. Would I buy another, probably, Would recommend you one? Never.

Here's a link to my build/RW-vmount thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-non-technical-pictures-198/tuscanidreams-fc3s-build-rotary-works-v-mount-kit-review-930243/
Here's a link to my RW throttle body inlet tube review thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/grrreddy-vs-rotarycrap-tb-inlet-pipe-936984/
After spending a few thousand dollars with RW, I feel like it was a complete loss with the company. The vmount kit fitment was so horrible I had a local shop spend lots of time fixing it the proper way. The compression tube, while possibly usuable, is no where's near the same as the greddy one. And like said in previous posts, the sent me the Gilmer pulley fit for the s5 automatically when I have an s4. Their customer service was so horrible it wasn't even funny. They eventually just started ignoring my phone calls and emails.
RW won't chime in on a thread unless some one says "RW, thank you for this awesome piece of scrap metal! " Kind of fucked up, huh?

I think i'm pretty much the only one to get exactly what i expected..
Ordered the waterpump adapter flange, fits perfect.
Also got the throttle body inlet, because i needed the straight angle instead of the greddy tube pointing inwards.
Using either one would require modification for use in my v-mount setup anyway. In the end i didnt even modify the inlet, but built an adapter for it.

Jesus christ it seems as though Rene keeps getting worse with all of his bull **** products. I bought the gilmer Drive pulley kit as well 17mm, when I put it on my set up the whole ******* thing from top to bottom didn't work. the packaging was horrible, there customer service sucks...
I tell you what though, they have a bad and the ugly business section up from others who have complained about there products including myself on this forum, and I have also complained about there product they sold me in the vendor section with pictures...Please go to those sections and post your frustrations there. This would totally help the cause..I just don't understand why the mods have not contacted him, or revoked his selling privlages from the forum...Its pure BULL ****!!! And not only that Rene and his all his not fitting parts will have a vendor booth at seven stock I'm pretty sure of it...Best believe i will be there!!!
I can't wait till seven stock, to see rene and let it be known he is more than a whimp for not stepping up to the plate and taking fault for his shitty parts...
By the way his parts are manufactured by an outside source out of china, there not made in the ghetto streets of LA. Somebody else deals with all of his low end products, runs the website, and deals with all those shitty parts...Rene just hides in the back ground, doesn't respond to these damn threads, post, or pm's...
