OH no! A canadian racism remark. Another tell-tale sign of the quality of your personality. I'm going on a road trip in the winter, I could stop by your place for a whoopin'.

And you misspelled "arguing".

Actually, do a Google search for my name, you should come up with some of my international results in combat sport. I can back up my opnions in reality, though what's the point? Only those too stupid to sort out their opinions in their heads result to violence.

And again, a fight is only a fight when one of the person doesn't come out conscious, as is the case when you are jumped outside a bar, or defending a girl. Bar fights and civial fights are so dumb.

scathcart, fighting is good for money too. You a fan of UFC or Pride? Now that is *****, skill, and strength! Like the rules of Pride better, but the octagon of UFC is superior to the ring. Well, I know it's off topic.

Know nothing about them, and none too interested. For a 19 year old full time engineering student doing hardcore manual labour for money, I think I'm doing pretty good. After all, an all-aluminum 3-rotor S5 T2 is more than most college students own...

I do enough sports in college as it is.

what kind of money?

You must not be on here very much, as if you were, you would know I haven't even finished aquiring the funds for the project (one month away!) let alone acquiring the parts or services.

Ever hear of planning?

There is no doubt it is functional, and would be especially effective teamed with custom ducting. Unfortunately it will worsen the drag CD, but create more frontal downforce, as well as a huge amount of cooling if air is properly forced to the intercooler and brakes.

It won't look TOO bad on a nice painted car, but it is not my perference.

Scathcart - Even though you are smart enough to develop such a car, I still tend to not mention "projects". Even for financially stable people, projects shape and change over time. And nobody cares about your "planning" no offense.

Thats what i was always told. It dose not count if it's a project. i have a spare 87na in my friend yard and i can say i have an 87 with a 20b in it. and then i tell you oh i plan to start working on it in 2 weeks and i know you would be like " i dont care you dont have the car done. who the hell gives a f%^k." right well even if it is a project car good luck to you.

everyone here knows why we bought a fc. it practicly looks good. there are some people that like to change the way it looks to suit their needs, if they have the money, let them do what they want. if you think the front is nice, by all means, buy it, paint it, if you think the kits ugly, state your opinion and don't flame anyone because they like it. this is a forum and a very good one, act like grown ups, be mature about it, as for me, im saving for my REAmemiya front with lights. i've always been a fan of this kit. i figure if i was going to buy the gtc bumper plus lights, thats about 1000 plus shipping. ill just put out another 700 for the real ****. and maybe another 700 for the skirts. my two cents, we're all adults, hopefully, all of us is over 16. be mature about it. everyone has an opinion and not everyone is going to like your car. face the facts.

I would love a different front end for my car, but almost $1000 is too much and I am not crazy about the look either......

i semi-agree with scathcart about the frontend, i think it just doesn't match the lines and suit the car itself. but then thats my opinion, id rather go for the re amemiya fc2000 front with the open light conversion

I haven't seen the pics of this kit, as they have either been removed or not uplouaded properly, but I have a much cheaper, and probably better looking solution. Just get an fd front bumper, trim the back down to the same shape as an fc, and use it. You may have to narrow it slightly, but its pretty simple. I am getting ready to do it to my TII, and if you just use the fd front bumper, it doesnt interrupt the lines of the car. the problem with the full front conversion, is that the fd style fenders don't look right with the fc lines. This also costs way less than any other front end conversion. Either come up with a used stock fd bumper, or buy a piece from a kit. The one I have, is pretty similar to a stock one, but with a little larger opening, and more a little different holes for the lower fog lights. It looks like a cross between the RE-A frontend, and an Origin front bumper for an fc.

6 year old thread bump....... you could've provided pics at least. Many people have "attempted" to fit FD parts onto othercars. Few have actually done it, I've yet to see one look good. My personal favorite, is the FB with the identity crisis. Although someone put a 12A into an FD soooooo Although that was probably under the "reliabilty Mod" side of thinking

Pics - they are demanded.

I haven't actually done the swap yet, but I had an fd front bumprt, and thought it was a cool idea. The bumper came from this guy here in MO that makes a lot of body kits, and has built most of the rotaries in my area. It was actually his idea, so we measured, and if you cut it right, it is almost exactly the same size and same shape towards the front of the bumper. I have mostly been doing engine work, so I havent had the time to try it yet, but I will post some pics in a few days.

The main difference in my conversion, is that I am using just the bumper, not the whole frontend, like most people.

Easier said then done.

Take your FD bumper and your FC bumper and set them on the ground back to back. Now take a minute to soak in the HUGE difference between their mounting surfaces. Not just a simple "trim the back down" procedure. EDIT: The bumpers mount in entirely different ways, and are contoured totally different. The FC bumper (stock) doesn't go to the wheel well, it ends where it meets the fender. FD bumper goes to the wheel well. The headlight cutouts, the height.......all vastly different.

If anything - buy a piece of **** fiberglass FC bumper, a piece of **** fiberglass FD bumper, and graft them together.............................but that would still be a huge amount of work.
