I believe they threw everything together as cheaply as possible just to make it work, with a rather disregard for how well it works, simply to throw it out there and to sell it (especially since a lot of people don't know better). With the R&D required to actually make a decent setup would jump that pricetag up so far beyond resonable (not that it already isn't pretty damn close) that I believe they just didn't care and wanted it to work

Yes, in my opinion, they threw everything together and called it a kit...

Everyone who saw the lower intake manifold had a WTF look on their face, including the other Rotary heads here in Shreveport who stopped by in time of need with tools that I didn't have - it just doesn't make sense, clearance is not an issue why try to cram air into a entrance no bigger than an inch?

At this point I'm getting irritated that they haven't called me yet, I'm having to call Andy every day to check and see on it, I didn't even call yesterday to give him that day to inspect but today he left early...it's really starting to **** me off because I'm using my dads first generation to get to work which doesn't even have heat at the moment, and it's getting freaking COLD here.

I pm'ed Dan with some suggestions/comment he told me to contact Andy, Dan aren’t you the owner of Camden now? I know you daily drive yours why haven't you run into the problems that I've run into? I did nothing wrong but what the instructions on your website said to do and now I have to suffer waiting on the damn thing to get inspected so I can find out it was a design flaw? Honestly, when I have to pay shipping for the damn thing that pisses me off because it should have been working in the first place.

How many bad Camden’s have gone through these boards now? I haven't had any good customer service as of yet...they are nice on the phone but treat me like a three year old when it comes to returning phone calls and answering emails – yes I know I try to call every day, but you as a business should take of the customer first, especially when overcharging for a supercharger kit such as the one you sell.

I also wrote a nice note to Dan, hopefully he holds up to his reputation!

I believe that Dave Atkins is the owner. Dan is his son and 'front-man' for the company. (I think)

They are a family owned and operated company, so I suppose that in certain cases that have to 'protect their own', occasionally at the expense of their customers. I understand it, but at the same time as a customer it's a *little* frusterating.

They have several Camden charged, rotary vehicles that I've seen up-close and personal at their facility. The difference of course with theirs is that they're much simpler Carb'd setup's. Not exactly the same EFI, "2nd gen. specific kits".

Well, any in case, the family knows now, and that's what matters, they are loosing a LOT of money by not showing their stuff more...and threads like this kill their reputation, which is why I'm trying to work with Camden & Atkins to get it going towards the good way.

That's a hell of a stretch, doing what they're required under their own warranty doesn't generaly equate to 'rocking'. Now, if they magically redesigned the entire setup overnight, then I'd agree, but I'm still in the boat that the kit's fubar.

So here's the situation, he couldn't call me due to the fact the guy didn't take down my cellphone area code.

As for the problem with the intake manifold, they had two seperate versions, a six port and a four port, but another guy came in and decided to make a manifold that would fit both (from an economic stand point, that's great, but to quote andy "from a performance stand point its horrible") - so with that being said they know what's going on and will be offering a new version of the lower manifold for seperate.

Anyways, had to pay $189 to have it overnighted...

It needs more work than just changing the flange on the LIM though

Umm.. I would say that this had nothing to do with your failure, although it's good that they're remedying it.. . now... I don't see why you had to pay to have it shipped to you, though.. They should have at least halved it with you.

Probably because he wanted it so 'quickly' is the reason they didn't pay for shipping, but then again, chances are they just charge anyway.

Title updated to have somewhat a relation to the thread.

And just so everyone is clear: bitchfest's belong in the good guy bad guy section. If this thread keeps going the way of that, with reports on how a particular company is handling stuff, it will be moved.

Keep this thread 2nd gen technical related or it will be moved.

__ OT __ No they were going to pay for ground for free, I needed it overnighted, I paid the price.

As far as the LIM goes, they are talking about a completley new design as far as I can tell so that's good.

The supercharger andy said the old versions had one clamp on the keyed shaft or something of that nature, so they added a second clamp somewhere down the shaft and it fixes this problem...

Now I get to go clean my car up in prep!
