rotary aviation rebuild kit?

I am currently in the process of building a s5 and was wondering if anybody has had experience, good or bad, with the rotary aviation kit.
any other suggestions would help.

I remember when felix redid his engine with the rotary aviation kit, his coolant seals blew. There was a big stink about whether it was the kit, or felix.
Felix said that the coolant seals were too large and just barely fit properly. Others started going ape **** saying that when they used the kit it worked fine and was great. It was interesting to say the least.
Search for it.

LOL, they come too SMALL to fit, not too large, you have to stretch them by HAND to fit. So either felix totally fucked that up (VERY likely), or he just didn't pay attention when he put it together, which caused the pinch. They work just fine.

Agreed. I've got 20k on my RA rebuild (in just over a year), and it's fine. Getting those seals to stay, though... You had to basically hylomar them into the grooves, and use the housings to press them in so they's stretch out & stay. I can see it being easy to screw 'em up.

When I installed my RB coolant and combustion orings....they went in just fine. Compared to all the pita things I have done to my car...this was rather easy. Of course it was over 100F outside when I did this with Santiago...so maybe they were easier to work with in the heat.

And of course I used holymar to hold them down. And I was very carful watching the housings come down to make sure they didnt slip out of place.
