Anyone got a product review on the Rotory-Works, 80mm, single-blade, CNC-cut, billet throttle-body?
Product Link: > Rotory-Works.com
The TB:

Thinking about picking it up, but haven't heard anyone running one or any end-user reviews.
Going to use it with this > ( Product Link ):

They really need to put up a notice on their page saying that this throttle body is only a benefit on 600+ HP cars and requires a full standalone. It sure would save a lot of threads (there have been at least 6 that I can remember in recent months).
and once you get to 600, the stock manifolds are already a bottleneck 100+ horsepower ago. so they should also make a LIM/UIM to match the increased flow characteristics, then again it would only serve to work well with a PP motor with a custom PP LIM anyways.

Right on. Thanks for the info, guys.
Not really concerned with the prettiness factor, and wasn't sure if the 80mm butterfly is more or less (beneficial) than the OEM.

Like mentioned above, its great for super high HP track cars; but on anything that is going to see the street, you are going to look light an idiot driving through parking lots or trying to cruise slowly, talk about a light switch!

LOL. Rock on. Was trying to figure out is it was a + or -.
And the answer is had.
Albeit this one is TOO pretty, the OEM is fxkin' butt-ugly... Esp. between the red JDM UIM and the TID.

They sort of "dance around" the fact that the Throttle body only uses an FD TPS right now,and they do not have any other Adaptations for it.
OH!.,and they do not include the Piece that you need to Run the TPS!.you have to take it off your old Throttle body!
I got the 90 MM on my Fd Upper conversion.
My Opinion on it is the Throttle body gives you a nice smooth acceleration compared to the Stock FD throttle body...But I still want to be able to switch the TPS to something other than the FD Tps.

Well since My engine has so many Bolt on Modifications and Extra fuel,I wouldn't know 'per say" what Stock performance is like!.I never had a stock engine.I modified it From a Keg UP..
For Daily Driving?.really,Think about this: you are on City Streets and can only do 30mph..Wtf do you need a Big *** TB for?.You got Plenty of power to break traction with the stock Setup!.You got the power to tease.
Unless you want to take your car out to a track, then YA it is worth it.But for Driving In the City,NO.
Besides the TB really shows itself off in Higher Revs.

I've used the FD version on an actual FD. It's kind of a pain in the ***. Apart from the specific issues of the FD version, you still have no dashpot, no fast idle, no cruise control. It makes tip-in worse because you don't have a two-stage opening of the primary and then secondary runners.
I just don't see the point on most setups. I can't get traction until 3rd gear in this weather and I am using an s4 throttlebody, still with the double throttle butterflies and all.
As for the side issue of the FD TPS--do you realize that that is an UPGRADE? The FC TPS sucks. It's a horrible dated design from the early 80s. It's the same TPS that the 12A turbo had. The s5 isn't any better, it's just two of the same thing. The FD TPS is just like a Honda TPS. It's still a dated early 90s design but it's much better than the FC. It's much more reliable and it still has the full and narrow range signals which are backward compatible with the older s4 and s5 electronics.
