Roll Cage anyone??

I have a RX-8 that I love now but unfortunatly the wife wont let me rip it apart so I bought a 86' GXL to rip apart now hehe. Im looking to see if anyone has any leads to a site that might make 10 point cages kits for the 2nd gens. So far the only thing I've found is a bolt in 4 pt cage. Any help/leads would be very much appreciated. Also who sells the best flush mount headlight kit for the 2nd gens?

Thanks,
Will

I've never used them, nor do I know anyone who has. But it may help. On the right side they have a few cages listed for S5s, Which may fit in S4s but maybe not. I'd give them a shout.

I've got a guy in Birmingham that will weld you one in. High quality, he make a large number of the cages for I/O port racing. I'll see if I can't find his info.

I would probably go for that being that if he intends to race it, the cage needs to meet SCCA approval for roll cage structure and such.

--> I can't remember his name, but I have one of his roll bars in my Convertible. I'm very happy with the construction.

I imagine that without the stock dash, you could bring up some bars from the floorboard outside of your feet and up the front pillars, across the top of the winsheild to each other, and back over the top of the side windows or the doors.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but I had 2 pennies, so I thought I'd share them.

well thx for the replies guys... i was stupid to not search some major retailers before posting. Jegs had a nice 10 point weld in kit for $219. Ive welded cages in cars before so this one shouldnt pose to be more of a problem. I should be installing it in the next month or so, i have a lot of stripping and prep work to do but i'll post pics of the install if you guys are interested. Thanks again

Most of the cages/ roll hoops I've seen are questionable at best. But I don't think I've ever seen the 10pt. Jegs cage installed.
A member, rallyx7, has a nice cage in his car. You can see it at http://www.4seventeen.com/thecar.asp
The part I like is the rear X bracing that goes to the top of the shock towers. Not many cages do that.
You also want the main hoop to go to the frame rail, not the floor behind the seats.
All IMHO, of course.
