road trip?

road trip?

i'm going up to SF from LA in about a week. i've just bought my 87 rx-7 w/ 100k miles on it and would it be okay to take this car on the trip? are there any fluids i should change out before i go?

I did a smillar trip in my TII with no problems but I would probably do a tune up. new plugs, oil, oil filter.

That's not much of a road trip but whatever.

Top off all your fluids, check your battery connections, air in the tires and such.
Also carry some tools including sockets, pliers, misc. tools,etc...
And bring along spare fluids and belts (if you can). The basic stuff. Motor oil, 2cycle oil (if you premix), coolant, water, and jumper cables. Just the basic stuff for most trips.

Also, a AAA card would help.

I'll be more prepared when i do my summer trip from TX to Deals Gap in TN and then straight to CA. So, yes, it can do it as long as you take precautions and don't try to set a land speed record.

if you feel comfortable taking it that far, it is probably ok. check everything you normally would on any car. 100 miles isnt very far

Its more like 500 miles between LA and San Fran.

Two tanks of gas at the worst mileage.

Hardly anything to worry about as far as distance though
