Road Test: Clogged Stock CAT Vs. Unclogged CATCO CAT

So I bolted up my high-flow CATCO catalytic today. WOW was my stock cat clogged! I looked in it and it was broken up some, clogging most of the "exit". I also gutted my pre-cats.

Well with the gutted per-cats and the new unclogged high-flow cat all I can say is, HOLY ****!!!!!! This car feels SO much faster. The exhaust tone is very deep and mellow. I love it. I'm surprised my pacesetter exhaust doesn't make it sound like a weed wacker. Instead it sounds like a nice deep Rotary

I am now a huge fan of my car again.

My face has looked like this for the past 3 hours:

that deep tone you have is what you get when you get your pre-cats and a new main cat.

my dad has his 1st gen the same way. RB header, gutted cat, pacesetter muffler/cat-back, very deep

congrats on your good fortune!

I had one of those on my vert in the n/a days, replaced a gutted cat. Made the car not smell like crap all the time. I still have it laying around here somewhere.
