road speed sensor output paramiters
does anyone know the road speed sensor output paramaters please answer as many of the following questions as you can (I did look through the FSM and found nothing of use)...
Such as voltage, and range, is it a pulse output or a steady voltage increase/decrease.
What should the sensor show not moving/moving
are the sensors different bewteen Auto and manual

Section T-67 P pin G/R wire input on Cruise Control. Run out between 0-10V.
Source is from Gauge cluster since it coverts the mechanical cable from transmission to electrical.
I have been searching for how it works.in terms of having it as an input into a Haltech . but nothing so far I have run into
in the early 2000's i ran an AVC-R and had the speed on there but can't recall settings.

I double-checked because it had been a while since I looked at it, but the speed sensor sits in the speedometer mechanism right next to the magnet. Your speedometer cable runs from the transmission to the back of your instrument cluster. The cable spins a magnet that makes your speedometer needle move. The "speed sensor" is a tiny metal reed switch that flaps closed every time the magnet swipes past it. It has an output of either on/off, with a default state of off (no voltage). When the magnet swipes past it, it closes the circuit and supplies whatever voltage is going to your common power on your instrument cluster (~10-12v depending on your wiring condition). While you're sitting still, the switch isn't moving, but as the car moves, the speedometer magnet flutters the switch back and forth, providing a mechanically actuated signal. Hope this helps.

S4 manual didn't provide as much on this, but it did have how to correct your gas gauge which I'm gonna have to try when it warms up.
