risk of engine fire?
unfortunately i dont think i can get my fpd replaced until friday at the earliest.. and my TII is the only thing i have to get around.
now that i'm aware that the fuel smell may be a leak, what kind of risk am i looking at for an engine fire?
i'm not positive this is the case - the same symtoms also could mean a gasket could be gone, which would explain my weird boost/vac problem.
as soon as i can i'll get under the hood and figure this out. im just wondering how i'm going to get home from work

It does not take long to see if you have a leak under the intake manifold
just pressurize the system by jumping the yellow connector near right shock tower (key turned to 'on')
take a flashlight and see if gas is leaking under the intake manifold
if no leaks, that's good.
Now, check under the car following the fuel lines to the tank. See if it's leaking.
If it's leaking gas anywhere, I wouldn't personally drive the car. But in case you do (again I would not), carry a fire extinguisher with you. You see gas in itself is not really the problem, it's the fumes that can ignite and I let you imagine the rest.
