rim fitment

My step dad has been so gracious as to give me a set of stock 06 eclipse gt rims they are 18x8", +46mm offset with 235/45/18 tires. the bolt pattern is the same will they require any rolling or pulling of fenders?

Rolling and pulling fenders are the least of your worries, you'll most likely need a spacer to stop them from rubbing your suspension components.

Did you try steering lock-to-lock during the test fit?

+1. Wider rim and increased offset moves the wheel/tire more inboard - clearance is an often an issue with the front spring and perch on FC's, and the rear trailing arm. Wider rims usually use less than the factory ~40mm offset to stay clear of suspension components, which is where a lot of people end up needing to roll, and possibly dolly out the fenders to clear the outside edge of the rim/tire package.

That's in the straight ahead position. Clearance could also be an issue to the fender lip, liner, and steering linkage with the wheels at lock or compression, as under cornering load. Of course, at the rear, if you stay off the trailing arm on the inside, you can go pretty wide.

he might possibly have some spacers from his other set of racing hearts that were sadly trashed due to a drunk driver hitting the parked car about how big of a spacer are you suggesting?

I think 18's are too big for the car.
17" is even pushing it but seems to be the sweet spot for tire options.

For wheels with +46 offset, those seem to sit out pretty far...
