Right rear Caliper leaking what the *&^$@
HELP!!!!
I have asked everybody I can think of in the NW.
I have an 88 rx-7 and the right rear caliper is leaking. I need to replace right. YA right... I cant find the replacement one. I have looked and looked. I need a claiper that has a2 inch spane between the ears where the brake pads sit. all the one I ahve looked at ar 1 1/2 inch wide. WHY IS THIS? do I have hard suspention?
It is a 5 bolt and all the calipers I have seen are off 5 bolt cars I do not have a duel piston caliper either.
can anyone tell me what the prob is here. I knwo I am prob just real stupid.
Thanks

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
The wider rear calipers were used on the vented rear rotors.
Vented rear rotors are normally only found on car that have the 4 piston front brakes and would be considered the heavy duty set up.

Dang, its that easy huh?
So I have 2 piston front breaks...?? THis is a good thign right?
which means I need a rear caliper for a hard suspention rx-7, right?
Everytime i call a parts house and tell them I have a 88 they said there is no hard suspention.
so I guess I got to tell them I have a 87?
Got any suggestions on where I can get the caliper for a good price>??
Thanks all.. I really appreciate this help!
