right headlight sticking
The right headlight does not pop up anymore on my 87 GXL. I had to manually crank it in the up position. It was very difficult to crank..blistering my fingers turning the ****. Do the electric motors tend to die? I tried lubing the hinge points..no luck. Any suggestions?
thanks,

Check to make sure the side covers are screwed in properly, i know i had a problem with this when i put them up to pull my fender and forgot to put 1 screw back in the side . The nice part about it is when mine stuck it ate my battery charge in a good five minutes . Check that and then get back to me

check to see if the motor is not cracked (cast metal) or if any wires hadnt got cut.Other thing is did you hit your bumper cover on a curb or pulling up on a low driveway when this occured, the reason i asked is when you look in the front of your car an see your air damns that dry the tires are not in the line with the bumper cover holes it will obstruct with the motor ,this is due to that there is a metal reinforcement for the bumper cover that tends to bend the plastic upward in the direction of the motor ,you can bend them down by hand to line them up again if this is the problem

My battery is good and holds a charge. I noticed the left headlight is easily moved up and down with the manual ****..a lot easier than the other one. I wonder if the motor is junked up? I can't tell if it is cracked. As far as I can tell, the plastic sides look ok.
