The ride home was cold, PLEASE SHED SOME LIGHT!!!
Ok well as the title states, the ride home was a cold one. Yesterday when i went to work the heater worked fine, then on the ride home it was cold as hell, It was blowing air, and out of every vent at the same time, which i have no problem with, it has always done this, But the air that was coming out was pure ice. I think that its the logicon, but it may not be, it may just need flushing, so what do you guys think that the problem could be???

ok how are you for sure its the heater core, and what do i need to do to fix this? Put in a new heater core, or just flush it with a hose pipe or something?

i've got a similar problem in my car. the air comes out warm but it's nto real hot like it was in my n/a. my temp guage also barely moves off cold. do u think it's just a clogged heater core and bad temp switch?

Faulty thermostat and you wont get heat, easier and cheaper then a logicon to try first, plus if you dont remember when you changed it last its time to change it anyhow. Definitly use OEM because even a new thermostat can go bad fast.
When a heater core goes you will know it went.

if thermostat doesn't work, try a flush and fill. My heater didn't work once, as it turned out the damn dealer didn't put in enough coolant...dealers suck. I have problems with them all the time

my thermostat is less then 1000 miles old and is new from the dealership. the logicon works and it does blow warm air. it's just not very hot. i am going to flush the the coolant system this weekend and see if that helps. the car barely warms up the temp guage enough to go past the high cold mark. i am going ot replace the temp switch and see if that brings the guage up to where it should be. is the FC like the FD where the ecu needs to read the water temp to tell if the car is warmed up (aside from the coolant through the throttle body.

My engine temp goes up to a bit less than a quarter no matter what the temp outside is... I seem to remeber the heater working ok when I got the car last spring... A/C worked then too (but not now). Wonder if it's the logicon?
I seem to remeber reading about cold solder problems with the logicon, and seeing a diagram of points to solder up? Any ideas?
Thanks.

Damn, my thread got hijacked! But its always good to share info to help others so its ok. The temp guage moves just fine. and there is no coolant spewing from the heatercore, So all i can think it to be is the damn logicon, im gonna swap it with my friends and see if that works.
