RHD converision Q's

for those that have done a RHD conversion i was wondering if there is a write up on it some where??
and also what did you guys do about the us vin plate ?? did you pull it off the old dash and put it on the new one? or no vin? well thanks

iceblue is the man you actually want to ask thse questions to.. he has a whole thread w/ pictures on how he did it... and lemme tell you, after you look through it, you just might second guess yourself on the whole deal!

i purchased a fill rhd clip w/ full intentions of doing it also, but after further research..and just plain getting smart.. i scrapped the project!

but hey, if your still going to do it, i have everything you need for $500

i realy only wanted to know about the vin plate q's but i think it would be cool but too time consuming for now. i also would also eventually like to do a RHD miata coupe but thanks for some info maby further in the future or ill just move to canada or NZ and then get a RHD FD

That is my point in asking you if you have the means to do this. The VIN question is an obvious answer upon inspection of your own car into detail of performing this conversion.

It sounds like you are dreaming into the future without even knowing the present work needed.

vipers - can you send me some pics bud? I am thinking of stocking RHD conversion parts at my shop for customers that may want it.

i started reading your blog on doing the swap. it sounds like a lot of work. but couldnt you take a full rhd car and just swap all the vin plates?? but yea i motsly am just dreaming

1 vin is stamped the other 2 just pop on and off.

so then you could just cut the stamped one off the usdm car and weld it flush on the the jdm car. and pop the other 2 off. and also i didnt know you had also to flip the rear half if the car also. props to you for all of your work. i would like to see the car in parson some day.
