reworking harness have a few ?

Hey guys so ive been struggling with this s4 turbo swap into my 88 vert for a while. From one problem to the next... So i have a the turbo EM harness on the car now, after doing some research ive found that a few wires are missing and are actually on a different turbo harness that i dont have on the car, plus the harness is junk(burnt connectors, broken connectors, loose wires from who knows where). So i decided the s4 na EM harness is going back in, extending some wires is not a problem. Also my teacher gave me approve to use the harness repair kit we have at school..SWEET..so onto the questions

1.I used a universal o2 sensor so on the o2 side the connector is sodered on. A problem with my na harness is the harness side of the connector is broken off, i plan on crimping a new connect. With all these repairs on both sides the o2 signal is a low voltage will this cause any problems being the resistance of the repairs. I know its a small load, anyone have to make this repair any suggestion, feedback?

2.Can you remove the pins at the ECU connection. as i said i have access to a decent complete repair kit i dont want to cut the wires at the connector anyone know if you can actually remove the pins?

3.Emissions stuff i going..after taking off the manifold like 10 times im sick of it and registeration doesnt require emmision testing(thank god). So the solenoid rack wires are going for the most part any ideas on which solenoids i should leave. I was thinking about leaving the EGR because i know gas milage is already horrible, think removing the EGR will make it worse? pretty much any idea on what i should keep and what benefits?

4.What to use to rewrap the harness. What to use to hold it together. My teacher said he just got a split lome rap when he redid his harness and covered the wires with that. i know that electric tape start to now hold at high temps so anyone know what to use to hold the split lome or the wires together?

.Air pump is off the car air control valve is going. so that takes out those solenoids. Also have a cracked exhaust manifold and im using the s5 manifold so i dont have to worry about twin scrool hook up. Pretty much made this thread so i can get some input and ideas, stuff that i havnt thought of that other people have experience with. Thanks so much guys. this board has helped so much. ill probably have some other questions later but thanks again peace ..Brian

For info on rewrapping the harness, here is a thread I started a few months ago. It has what I used towards the end.
